The Power of Publicity (Case 4)


The power of publicity has both of positive and negative publicity. And you can control it? How you use it to make advantage for your business? There are many alternative processes to qualify your business. But, you should find your own style going to the best way and don’t waste time.
According to the marketing donut, they said “If your firm is getting critical coverage in the media, respond quickly, honestly and decisively. If you are in the wrong, it’s vital to own up and apologies. Never say ‘no comment’- it sends the message that you’re in the wrong and suggests that you feel no remorse- and the press many keep digging for dirt. Face up to the situation and you can begin to restore the reputation of your business”
I can remember this news and as for me it concerned with the power of publicity. So, I decided to get this news give example to you. That headline: Nurse Who Answered Prank Call at Kate’s Hospital Found Dead     

Nurse Jacintha Saldanha who took a prank phone call at Duchess of Cambridge’s hospital is found dead in suspected suicide
A nurse who was duped into transferring a prank call from two Australian radio presenters at the hospital treating the Duchess of Cambridge for severe morning sickness was found dead in a suspected suicide.

This is just an example that I give to you to make it more understanding on this topic. Now, I have seen much publicity that cannot control it if it spread already. It’s difficult for management after that and it has much type to communicate to another.
